Packing cubes sewing kits

Sew yourself a colorful packing cube (or two!) for your next trip! Packing cubes make packing easier and keep you organized during your trip. They allow you to get the same amount of clothing into a smaller space.  Unzip them and place in your hotel drawers when you arrive, and stay organized throughout your trip!

Our packing cube kits come in two sizes:

  • 8 inches wide x 8 inches long x 4 inches tall
  • 10 inches wide x 10 inches long x 4 inches tall

In each kit is everything you need to sew your packing cube; you supply thread and a few basic sewing tools. When finished, your packing cube will have a sport mesh see-through top, a YKK zipper with mirrored zipper pulls, and a color inset with a carrying strap for your convenience.

What your kit contains

The packing cube kit is designed for intermediate sewists; in this project, you will learn how to work with mesh, zipper tape and tab, and how to create a precise mitered corner. We recommend viewing the step-by-step instructions and pictures online for best image quality.

We use colorful, stylish and sturdy rescued fabrics and we carefully inspect these fabrics to avoid stains, slubs or other defects when we make our cuts. We use new zippers and new sport mesh. Your kit will be the envy of your traveling companions!

Note that the cubes pictured below are filled with clothes which create the colors you see through the mesh at the top of the cubes.
